Network and Schedule Optimisation

Network and Schedule Optimisation

The example below shows a helicopter route optimisation and scheduling workflow, but the underlying capability is much broader. We design and build software for advanced network optimisation, routing, dispatch, scheduling, and resource-allocation problems where time, distance, capacity, priority, and operational constraints all need to be considered together.

Depending on the problem, we can use established algorithms such as Dijkstra’s algorithm and related shortest-path and network-flow techniques, or develop custom algorithms where the operational context requires something more specialised. We can build the full solution end to end, including data preparation, matrix generation, constraint modelling, scenario testing, visualisation, and the operational user interface needed to support planning and day-to-day decision-making.

We also develop software for solving complex scheduling problems using a range of operations research techniques, including mixed-integer programming, constraint programming, branch-and-bound, dynamic programming, heuristics, metaheuristics, decomposition methods, and simulation. These solutions can be delivered as internal tools, web applications, or integrated decision-support systems for organisations that need practical, high-performance optimisation in production environments.
